The artists formerly known as "Westcott" have to their credit a 5-song EP, The Bad Sleep Well. In 2007, they changed their name to avoid confusion with another band bearing the same name, taking influence from the destination of the infamous Hindenberg with the name, Lakeherst.
Lakeherst calls on their diverse backgrounds to experiment with the art of sound. Drifting between melodic pop-punk and emo softcore, influences and references would be Kings of Leon, The Almost and Panic at the Disco. Most of their guitar-centric songs begin simply enough with a riff or idea and then pile on multiple melodic layers. You can check out their sound for yourself: Lakeherst's full-length album Euan Aura released February 26, 2008.
