The Underwater are originally from York and have made a huge splash in Europe. They are in the mold of Fuel or Breaking Benjamin, and at his best, lead singer Dan Thomas sounds like Brandon Boyd.
The thing that kills many local bands is the lack of a serious vocalist, and Thomas is serious. He’s got a rock star voice and gives The Underwater the polish and charisma that gives them a legitimate chance of making it on the national stage.
